William (Robert) Leggett, 80, of Providence, died Saturday, April 20, 2013. He was born November 28, 1932 in Judsonia a son of the late Jennings and Roxie King Leggett. Mr. Leggett was a farmer and was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing and was a talented taxidermist. He was also a very skilled wood-worker and could make anything with a piece of wood and a knife. Through the years, he crafted many things for his family such as high chairs, dinette sets and treasured violins for all of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Bobby Leggett of Providence, Teresa (Leggett) McClendon (Kenneth) of McRae and Tonya (Leggett) Moore of Searcy; siblings, Dennis Leggett, Jimmy Leggett, Dorothy Yingling and Mona Steudle; grandchildren, Jessica Leggett, Tamara Leggett, Kendra Wilbanks, Kandice Leggett, Nicole Montano, Erica Barber, Morgan Bell, Landon Bell and Carson Moore and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Leggett and a sister, Jean Miesen.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
