Thomas Edward Shelton, 62, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Sugar Land. He was born September 8, 1949 in Galveston, Texas to Charles Vernon and Gloria Brooks Shelton. Thomas served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy; as well as, 24 years for the Fort Bend Co. Sheriff's Department until his retirement. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Julie Shelton, his mother, Gloria Brooks Shelton, sons, Chas and Cullen Shelton, daughters, Carrie Shelton Anderson and husband Clinton and Cailan Shelton, brother, Jimmy Shelton and sister Irene Garner and 2 grandchildren, Cheyenne and Caydi Anderson. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
