When Mami Rosita laughed it always made me laugh and she had wonderful traditions, the one I remember the most was over Christmas time she sang and had this thing she did with a Nativity scene and incense, I will always remember that, probably one of the fondest memories of her was then. I believe God has her in a very special place, they are probably discussing where she will fit in best up there to watch over us down here. In closing, having Rosalpina as my middle name is very special, that makes me feel close to her, and like I told my Aunt Lupi when we need Mami Rosita she will always be with us in spirit and to me that's truly a blessing. I will never forget the first day we met. I ran to the door , when my parents dropped me off, for you to baby sit me. You then came to me , picked me up and with your comforting voice told me " Everything is going to be ok." Since then I have spent 48 years of my life with you. You guided me, protected me, showed me most of the things I know about life today. You were like a mother to me. It is because of you that I am who I am today. I would spend my summer vacations with you, rather than my friends, because you had moved to Southern CA. and I missed you so much. I remember coming home from the summer vacations and crying, because I missed you so much. Now Mami you have gone to a much better place and are with Papi Elias and Chepita, and now I miss you more than ever, because I will not see you here on Earth anymore. I know I am selfish for thinking this way, but I know that someday we will be together again. I feel lonely without you now, but somehow I know you are watching over me. I can still hear your voice in my mind, and always remember that comforting lulaby you sang to me "A Roo Roo Ninito." When I remember this a peace comes over me, as it did when I was a child. I am in so much pain right now in my heart, but I know the Lord has taken your pain away , and are now in his Kingdom. I will miss you Mami Rosita, but I know you will never be gone from me, as long as I remember you and the memories in my heart.
