James "Jim" Theodosopoulos, 91, of Manchester died January 3, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on August 13, 1926, he was the son of Vasilios and Anna (Kokolis) Theodosopoulos. He attended Manchester High School Central and earned his bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He later earned a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk Law School.
During WWII, he served in the US Navy.
Prior to retirement, Jim had worked as a patent attorney for Sylvania GTE for many years. Previously, he had worked for Sylvania as a chemical engineer.
He enjoyed working outside and loved exercising, faithfully working out at the YMCA every day until his 85th year. He and his wife dedicated much of their life to volunteer work, spending many years as Granite State Ambassadors. Jim also volunteered his time providing tax return preparation services and information to AARP members.
Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather (Papou), great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who cherished time spent with family.
He was predeceased by his daughter Paula Theodosopoulos in 2010. He was also predeceased by siblings, Aphrodite (Effie) Zitrides, Lambros Theodosopoulos, Harry Theodosopoulos, Mary Spiro, and Glikeria (Kiko) Statires, all of Manchester.
Family members include his wife of 66 years, Pearl "Pam" (Mamigonian) Theodosopoulos of Manchester; his children, David Theodosopoulos and Randi of Los Angeles, CA, Gail Shiel and Keith of Manchester, NH, Karen Janowski and John of Reading, MA, Susan T. Pulido and Robert Lafreniere of Windsor, CA; 11 grandchildren, Matthew and Courtney Shiel, Alexa Moutevelis, Amanda Janowski, Jessica Pulido, Chris Janowski, Michael Pulido, James Theodosopoulos, Matthew Theodosopoulos, Andrew Theodosopoulos and Anna Theodosopoulos; and 3 great-grandchildren, Emily, Luke and Brady Shiel; his siblings, Nicholas Theodosopoulos and Themi of Cambridge, OH, Desperna (Honey) Stergiou of Manchester, NH, Virginia Theo-Steelman and David Steelman of Manchester, NH; and many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.
