Lisa, even though we only saw each other once a year, you became a great friend....our mutual love of dogs bonded us together in the beginning, but over the years, it became so obvious to me what an incredible human being you were. Looking into your eyes in this beautiful picture, it's so easy to see your kindness. I'll miss you dearly, and you will forever be a source of inspiration to me. -Sylvie

Matt, you are also a source of inspiration to both Bob and I. You have loved and cared for Lisa with such selflessness. We offer you our most heartfelt sympathies.

You endured the pain and suffering way too long, but did so for me and so we could have some precious extra time together. We made the most of it, and one final time went to our special place Key West, to renew our vows, in the place that we so enjoyed and that meant so much to us. The ceremony was at the very same spot that I proposed those many years ago. You did this for me while battling illness and exhaustion. Those precious moments are etched in my mind forever.
My nickname for you was sunshine. You were spirited, beautiful, sexy, kind, devoted, caring, and provided me with the key I needed to open my heart in ways that I never thought possible. I can't even begin to describe how much fun we had and the depth of the love that we shared. I can't count the times that people, even total strangers would comment on how our love was genuine, on full display, and that we made the "perfect couple". Sunshine, through the love we shared, you have gifted me memories that will keep me strong and be with me the rest of my life. Even on a cloudy day no one can take my sunshine away.
You were my Angel that taught me how to enjoy life and share love that was so sweet and true. You were there every time I needed you and I hope I was able to do the same for you. I'm amazed at the special moments that we shared and how we were able to navigate life's challenges together. Through the battles of the last couple of years, I've looked deeply into your eyes and have seen the love, joy, fear, and pain that was inside you. It's so clear to me that your pain and suffering was all for me so we could have more time together. I will treasure that gift forever. I hope that I was able to prove worthy of your love and provide you the comfort that you so deserved. In those last hours, I hope that you heard every word I said, felt the comfort of my touch, and depth of my love until your last breath. As we said many times forever us. You will forever in my heart and soul.

I will miss our chats and laughs. Lisa always knew how to make people smile. She was a devoted friend. Her love for Matt was timeless. I'm so blessed to have known her. Lisa's love for animals, especially greyhounds will continue through all that knew her. May the memories of her be a blessing for Matt and the family in this unbearable time. My heart and prayers go out to all that knew her.
