Tribute & Message From The Family
Zachery Jonathan Ruppel, age 24, formerly of Bedford, NH passed away on December 31, 2018 in Colorado Springs.
He was born in San Diego, CA on September 23, 1994 to John and Lisa (Twitchell) Ruppel. Zak resided in Bedford most of his life, attended Champlain College in Burlington, VT and soon ventured to Colorado to start his career as a Cyber Intelligence Analyst at Lockheed Martin.
Zak was a compassionate, respectful and genuine individual, who had the biggest heart and gave the most unbelievable hugs. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, and an all-around devoted friend.
Some people are born with traits that can't be taught and Zak was one of those people. His leadership skills were developed early in life by earning the Rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 414. He was known for his charming personality and infectious smile, not to mention his smooth dance moves. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, and referred to himself as a mountain man. Summer was all about camping, winter was all about snowboarding, and every day was about riding his motorcycle. Zak was an intuitive leader, recognized by many for his dedication to helping, supporting and protecting others. The impact he made on those around him was truly extraordinary. His genuine kindness and love for family and friends will never be forgotten.
We love you Zachery! You will be loved unconditionally every day and will forever be in our hearts!
Zak is survived by his mother and father, Lisa and John of North Carolina; sister Nicole of Tampa, Florida; grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins from both the Ruppel and Twitchell families.
A memorial service celebrating Zachery's life was held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester.
