I met George a couple of years ago through a mutual friend, but not for a medical reason, but for a business reason. George was looking for a competent person to mount and balance tires for his special vehicles that he cherished. We easily struck up a friendship. He will be missed.

I worked with George at Parkland for about a year. As I got to know him, I appreciated his knowledge and talent. He was part of a wonderful anesthesia group and we were at a loss when he took on his next venture. We talked music a lot and I'm sure he's rockin it with some of the greats as we speak. God bless you George and prayers for your famly.

I had the pleasure of both working with George for many years, and having him as my anesthesiologist when I was a patient. He was incredibly compassionate and kind, as well as talented. Once you made him smile, it was contagious. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his untimely passing and am so sorry for his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

George treated me with equality and respect. He had a contagious grin and made me laugh. He was more of a friend than a colleague and had a heart of gold.

I can recall a time in my life when I had a very difficult personal problem and was grieving with my own loss. I remember how tender and sincere he was when he put his arm around me and asked how I was doing... the moment was sweet and so dear to my heart.

George and I had many opportunities to talk and we would do so about anything and everything from the flying squirrel in his bedroom to his latest basement project. He never would divulge his secret fishing spots to me and insisted on me placing the Ben Carson bumpersticker on my car bumper instead of inside the window! lol. We had some wonderful times. :)

I cannot help but smile when I think about George. He made work fun and entertaining. I will miss him popping his head in the room to show off a goofy face or to check on my wellbeing.

George was a humble and caring person that I will miss greatly. May God bless and be with you all until we see George again! What a glorious reunion that will be!

I worked with George for 12 years at Parkland Medical Center. He was an essential fixture on the anesthesiology staff. Hard working, efficient and reliable. He could be counted on getting the job done well. I can attest that he was exceptionally fit since I worked out with him on occasion within the last few months at the Executive Health Club, which is why this is such a shock. This is tragic since he worked so hard and had many good years ahead of him. My heart goes out to his loved ones as we all try to come to grips with his sudden passing. To George: safe journeys ahead, you did a lot of good in this life.
