Tribute & Message From The Family

Loving Husband, Father, and Friend

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Norman by adding your memories and photos.

Norman George Veno, 69, of Manchester, passed away on Friday, September 28, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Dover, NH, he is the son of the late Arthur and Jeannette (Moore) Veno. Following graduation from Dover High School, Class of 1968, Norm began his lifelong career in the grocery retail industry. Throughout the years, Norman worked for a variety of companies including Star Market, Allegro's, and, most recently, Nabisco.

During the Vietnam War era, Norman proudly served his country as a member of the NH Air National Guard.

A dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Norm was the pillar of strength for his family. He was a homebody who cherished time spent with his wife, daughters, and grand-dogs. Norm was an avid fan of college football, hollering at the TV with every play. On sunny days in his younger years, Norm enjoyed hiking in the mountains, discovering great beauty and comfort. Also, he enjoyed playing the organ and guitar. Norm will be best remembered for his kind heart and love of family.

Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Donna (Sprague) Veno, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage; two daughters, Danielle Richardson and husband Christopher of Phoenix, AZ and Andrea Veno and partner Sandra Blazon of Epping; two grand-dogs, Lilly and Taylor; sister, Marie Lemieux and husband John; five brothers, Robert Veno, Ron Veno and wife Susan, Gerald Veno and wife Susan, Paul Veno and wife Dottie, and Rick Veno and wife Laurie; dear family friend, Rick Martineau and wife Kim; a nephew and several nieces, extended family and friends.

Arrangements: His Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Saturday, October 6 from 1:00 to 3:00P.M. followed by his Memorial Service at 3:00P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Norman's memory to Home, Health and Hospice Care 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.

Donna, Andrea, & Danielle,

Carol & I are very sorry to hear of your loss.
We both have many memories of you & Norm sitting with us outside under the carport. We shared many laughs and stories. Carol always had her favorite greeting for Norm! Norm and I always compared lawns and how we got them greener! We will miss him and know that you take comfort in the fact he is in a much better place.
Our deepest sympathy to the three of you.

Love Carol & Art Cox

Ms. Donna,
Lisa and I learned of your loss today and are deeply saddened. Norman and you have been terrific neighbors for the last 15 years. I'll miss his easy smile and the work ethic he exhibited in maintaining your property on the hottest of summer days and the coldest snow-filled New England winters. God bless and may he rest in peace.
