Tribute & Message From The Family

Miles E. Gerrish, 69, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018 after a short illness at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Born May 20, 1949, he was son of the late Marvin and Leona Gerrish. He enjoyed 32 ½ years of marriage with Susan Gael (Kace) Gerrish, and was proud father to their son, Matthew (Matt) Miles Gerrish.

Raised in Manchester, he graduated from Central High School and Saint Anselm College. He later went on to study at Lakeland College and California Coast University. He was employed at Marden Rehabilitation of Ohio, where he was Director of Business Development for the country.

A devout Christian, Miles loved God and found great comfort in his faith. Miles loved sports and working out; he played professional basketball in Europe, and even tried out for the Celtics. In his down time, he enjoyed reading. Most of all, he was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his family.
He leaves behind his wife, Susan (Sue) Gerrish; his son, Matthew (Matt) Gerrish; his sister, Ann Gosselin and her husband, Donald; his nephews, Michael and Mark, and niece Michelle; as well as several great nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Services will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 with a gathering from 11am-12pm with a celebration of life at 12pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Horizons , 199 Manchester St, Manchester, NH 03103 or New Hampshire Food Bank, 700 East Industrial Park Drive, Manchester, NH 03109.

Sue & Matt,
It was a true blessing to know Miles and share our faith in Jesus Christ. We had some awesome times together and will miss him greatly. His smile and laughter will remain as wonderful memories. He loved you both so much and when he spoke of you his eyes would sparkle. We pray God's comfort will surround you and hold you tight as you walk through this valley and begin life anew without Miles. We are here for support any time you need. Our sorrow comes not for Miles as we know he is in a great place getting all the answers he sought. Our sorrow comes in having to say so long for now as we know we will all meet again.
