Tribute & Message From The Family

Doris Ida O'Toole, 92, of Bedford passed away peacefully Saturday, January 6, 2018 with loving family by her side.
Doris was born in Manchester on July 6, 1925 to Harry and Florence (Fournier) Riley. She was raised and educated in Bedford and married Hubert F. O'Toole at St. Raphael Church in 1947. Doris spent most of her life as a homemaker lovingly caring for her family.
Doris was a proud member of the American Legion Steven Buswell Post 54 of Bedford for 76 years. She was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Past President of the Women's Auxiliary, and a member of Forty & Eight for over fifty years. During her life she was a parishioner of St. Raphael's and St. Elizabeth Seton. Though Doris preferred quiet moments spent at home with family and friends, drawing, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and crocheting, she also enjoyed many family trips to Florida and Hampton Beach. Doris had many interests in life; she was a lover of all animals, especially birds, she enjoyed country music, and was always in the mood for seafood, but above all was her love of her children and grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her son, Michael O'Toole and wife, Tina; grandchildren Colleen (O'Toole) Lankford and husband David, Darren O'Toole and wife Jennifer, Jeff Remillard and wife Kathy, and Jennifer (Remillard) Shippee and husband Ben; brothers Harry Riley, Albert Riley, Roger Riley and wife Terry, James Riley, and Joseph Riley; sisters Alice (Riley) Belanger, Nancy (Riley) Williams and husband Michael, and Shirley (Riley) Henderson; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Hubert O'Toole in 1991 and her daughter Patricia (O'Toole) Remillard in 2003, as well as 1 sister and 7 brothers.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, January 10th 4:00-8:00pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road in Bedford. Burial will follow immediately at St. Joseph Cemetery. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements. For more information or to leave a message of condolence please go to www.phaneuf.net.

Aunt Dot you were second mom to me. So many special times together from a little girl to now.You helped me and taught me so many things in life, so many sleep overs with you , patti and mike i will always cherish. You were my mom's partner in crime and never went more than a couple days or so without talking or seeing each other. You were such a stubborn riley which we all loved about you but you were also the most loving caring aunt ever. We will miss you but we will always see that beautiful smile you had for us when we saw you. May you rest in peace with all our other family members up in heaven having a big family reunion. Dont worry mike and I will continue to chat and keep each other in check ...please watch over us now like you always have. RIP Aunt Dot we love you with all our hearts❤❤❤
