Dear Stephanie, I am very sorry for your loss. I don't think there is anything more painful than losing a mother. She was taken from you way to soon. I hope that you are comforted by the many wonderful memories that you have. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Donna on one of her visits to 3/8. She was such a kind bright spirit, generous and loving. My husband and I are so sorry for your immense loss. The news of her passing found it's way to us through another 3/8 Marine and I feel its safe to say that her Marine Corps family is mourning with yall. Her legacy of love touched so many even in her darkest hours. She will not be forgotten.

Dear Stephanie and Alan...
I am so sorry for your loss. No time is enough for the final good-bye. I pray that God would give you much comfort and strength in your days and years ahead. I so enjoyed the times that I shared with your Mom. She was gracious and willing to help me with a few of the Gold Star Mother events. May you be blessed with many precious memories in all your days.

Donna and I share being Gold star Moms. We became facebook friends and helped each other cope losing our sons in 2009. I will always remember her strength and determination. Please express my deepest sympathies to Stephanie and Alan.
