Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Mark by adding your memories and photos.

Mark R. Hardy, age 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home on Chester Turnpike in Candia, New Hampshire. He was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on February 24, 1955 to the late Elliot and Harriett Hardy of Candia, NH. He was the beloved husband of his devoted wife, the former Eileen M. Brosnan.

As a boy, he enjoyed snowmobiling, snow skiing, water skiing, rattlesnake hunting, fireworks, small scale cannons, camping, mechanical things, rebuilding engines and field bomb cars. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and the Manchester Memorial High School Color Guard.

As a man, he enjoyed his German Shepard dogs, Harley Davidson motorcycles, reading, music, the sun, the beach, recreational shooting, eating out, travel and time with family.

Mark's work history began in the mid 1970's when he was employed by Edison Electronics of Manchester, NH as a manufacturing line engineer for several years. He then worked as a stevedore at the State Pier in Portsmouth, NH. He also worked as a laborer, pipefitter and welder at Seabrook, NH Nuclear Power Station. Thereafter, he worked with the Portsmouth Laborers Union as a rock driller and blaster on many union jobs. He was employed for several years with Abbott Drilling and Blasting of Derry, NH. Then, along with several partners, he formed several companies; Blastech and Blas-tek, both of which were rock drilling, blasting and demolition companies based in Candia, NH. He eventually became sole owner and President of these companies, they being active for 30 years from 1986 through 2016. A highlight of his working career is that he and his company were featured on the cover page including an inside article in the New England Construction magazine.

His civic involvement includes Selectman of Candia, NH for several terms, Fire Warden of Candia, NH and Entered Apprentice member of Rockingham Lodge # 76, Free & Accepted Masons of Candia, NH.
