Dear Elsie,
Words cannot express the heartache and sadness that I feel for you and the family. Knowing you and John made me want to be a better person. The kindness, thoughtfulness, playfulness and regards for others, will always come to mind when I think of, John. The dances, the laughs and stories shared together I value above all. Farewell to the kind soul that was, John V! You will be missed.

Love you both oxoxo

Thinking of our times together!

Dear Elsie and family:
As I said in the email, Bill and I were surprised but not shocked since we knew he was fighting the cancer - with everything he had! When we met, we knew you , Elsie, had found a most unusual man - strong, caring, bright, giving - and very much in love with you, his family and his life. He will be missed by many but his presence did light up so many lioves!

John, I've missed seeing your smiling face, in church. That pew on the left hand side is a bit emptier, now. You always would give the choir, and therefore me, a rave review of any song we presented to the congregation.
God has now blessed you with eternal life, in Heaven, and though we are separated from you, and very sad, knowing we'll meet again brings us comfort and peace. Rest easy, John, your hard fought fight is now over. Until we meet again.
